Dr. Shah Alam, one of the founders of the Jalshaghar Entertainment, a promising singer attained rapid popularity in Southern California for his solo musical presentations. Dr. Shah Alam has been well-recognized and highly admired by the Southern California residents of Bangladeshi/Bengali origin for his solo presentation of popular modern Bengali songs of 60-80s of distinguished singers, such as Hemanta Mukherjee, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Manna Dey, Mohammad Rafi and many more.

Dr. Shah Alam is also an eminent amateur artist, mostly doing paintings by oil on canvas media. He created numerous landscapes and portraits in Bangladesh and later in the United States. His solo Arts exhibition earned admiration from all level of visitors.

Dr. Shah Alam has devoted most part of his life in doing music and paintings. He possesses an inherent imaginative instinct that fostered him outshine in both music and paintings. He is an individual of polite manner and of pleasant attitude and he is known for his sensible character.
